About SCBNG

Since 2016, we've helped small businesses and entrepreneurs connect, grow, and thrive — together.

Where It All Began

The San Carlos Business Networking Group (SCBNG) started in 2016 as part of the San Carlos Chamber of Commerce. It was created for local professionals who believe in the power of connection and community-driven referrals.

When the Chamber closed during the COVID-19 pandemic, our group made a choice: dissolve or keep going. We chose growth — and we’ve been thriving ever since.

Our History

Rooted in resilience, growing through connection.

What Makes SCBNG Special

Real Relationships

We go beyond the pitch to build trust and friendships that lead to long-term partnerships.

Shared Growth

Members refer each other and collaborate intentionally to create measurable business growth.

Accountability

We show up, follow through, and report activity to maintain momentum and visibility.

How We're Different

How We Track Our Success Together

We measure what matters—how often our members connect, support each other, and win new business through real relationships. These simple tracking points help everyone understand their progress and stay engaged in the group.

Our Three Key Participation Metrics

Referrals

Members share leads, introductions, and opportunities with each other. A referral is any warm connection that may help another business grow.

One-on-Ones

These are friendly, focused meeting between two members where you learn about each other’s services, goals, and ideal customers. The more you meet, the easier it is to spot ways to help each other.

Closed Business

When a referral turns into paid work, it’s counted as Closed Business. This shows how our group turns conversations into real results for local businesses.

Why It Matters

When people take time to connect, learn, and share, amazing things happen. Strong participation leads to stronger relationships—and people who work together grow together.

Looking Ahead

We’re always growing — and we’re always looking for new members who value connection, contribution, and community.
